Emergency Accommodation wins at Dublin International Film Festival
Red Hopper Films is delighted to announce that Emergency Accommodation has been awarded a Special Mention at the Dublin International Film Festival 2026. The 13-minute short, produced by Eamonn Keane, directed by Kate Haley, and written by Sean Connolly, follows Joe (Joseph McGucken) as he slips Garda custody in a chaotic Emergency Department, hiding in plain sight as overworked staff battle relentless pressure, all in search of a place to sleep. The film was made through the Virgin Media/Screen Ireland Discover Programme in association with Red Hopper Films.
